The Crown
Hell Is Here
Metal Blade
Normally I really make fun of bands like this, you know the death metal satanist type band.  However, in the case of The Crown, I really can't.   Of course, they do have some of the a-typical characteristics of this genre, I mean the vocalist really sounds like he needs to take a dump, but overall these guys are pretty good.

In the midst of their buzzsaw guitars and machine gun drums, they shine with smatterings of talents, riffs and bridges that seem out of place yet really hook you in.  Lyrically they are a bit different as well.  Of course, the world is still going to end and we're all going to have 666 tattooed on our foreheads but they take it a step beyond this.

Songs like "At The End," which intelligently addresses mortality in an almost poetic way, absolutely riddles the brain and poses the eternal question.  Check it out.  Also, "Devil and the Darkness" will charge your heart with fear most  primally.  And there are others.

The crew of Johan Lindstrand, Magnus Olsfelt, Mark Tervonen, Marcus Sunesson and Janne Saarenpaa have really created an intresting  take on a normally tired genre.  This one I would have to reccomend.  See what you think.   Just remember to keep the lights on.
